This thin patient presented with concerns of abdominal wall weakness affecting her activity. On exam, she had significant rectus diastasis and rectus laxity leading to a rounded appearance of her abdomen with very little fat and excess skin. We also found an umbilical hernia on her exam. As she didn't have enough excess skin for a standard tummy tuck, we performed an umbilical float (where the belly button isn't released from the surrounding skin) which allowed us access to repair her rectus muscles and umbilical hernia.
